The ASISA Academy, in partnership with UCT, offers the UCT Life Insurance Underwriters’ Short Course as an officially endorsed UCT short course (non-credit bearing). In cooperation with a group of leading underwriters, senior medical officers, and other industry leaders, the ASISA Academy has pioneered this course, which sees underwriting firmly established as a formal profession in South Africa.

Adopting a blended learning methodology, the course consists of six modules, each comprising a mixture of self-paced learning and online masterclasses delivered over half-days on MS Teams.
