L+EARN

Empowering the youth

Since 2014, the ASISA Foundation’s Saver Waya Waya L+EARN financial education programme has successfully been addressing many of the challenges with which the youth of today struggle, equipping students and young entrepreneurs to economically participate in the South African economy, prepare for the world of work and sustainably grow their businesses.

“This programme teaches self-acceptance in ways of financial management. If you’re more comfortable in being yourself, you’ll be able to manage your lifestyle easier.”

Sibusiso Maseko, Sedibeng College Business Management Student

“Some of the students said to us: ‘We’re going to share this information with our parents’, because they know that their parents are in debt. So, it’s not only meant for students, but also for the community that we’re serving.”

Dr George Mothapo, Principal, Sedibeng TVET College
