The ASISA Foundation RFTE programme provides training to retirement fund trustees and principal officers to improve their financial literacy and increase governance and management behaviour to improve their fund members’ retirement prospects.

The ASISA Academy is the preferred service provider for the ASISA Foundation which receives grant funding from sponsors.

In collaboration with Today's Trustee magazine, the ASISA Foundation produced a number of trustee education supplements.

Target audience

Retirement fund trustees in general, but with specific focus on member-elected trustees and newly elected trustees who are often unskilled in the workings of retirement funds and how to adequately fulfil their fiduciary roles and obligations.
